The Sustainability Studies Minor consists of 6 credits of required courses
(two 3-credit courses) and 9-12 restricted electives (three 3-4 credit
courses), for a total of 15-18 credits. Students may select various combinations
of three elective courses from a range of supporting disciplines. The
requirements are as follows:
1. Core course - SUST 3003,
Sustainable People, Sustainable Planet (3 cr.)
Credit will also be given for:
ESPM 3480 Topics in Natural Resources/POL 4210 Topics in Political Theory: Sustainable
People, Sustainable Planet
ESPM 3003/GLOS 3304 Sustainable People, Sustainable Planet.
This course has been offered under these various names for the past two years but begins this fall under its new designator of SUST 3003. It will be offered Fall of 2008 as well as Spring of 2009.
2. Capstone Course - SUST 4004, Sustainable Communities (3 cr.)

This course was offered for the first time in Spring 2008. SUST 4004 will be offered again in Spring 2009.
